My name is Tyler Engler and I am the 6th grade Math teacher.  I was born and raised in Wayzata, Minnesota and graduated from Wayzata High School.  After High School I went to Kansas University and graduated with a mathematics degree as well as a teaching license.  I am the son of the 5th grade science teacher, Mr. Jimmy Engler.  This is my 3rd year at MIMS. My hobbies are playing sports and watching the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, and Jayhawks.

6th Grade Mathematics is a course that will begin to introduce some essential topics that will help students with later subjects such as Algebra and Geometry.  This class will be set up with a similar format to  the 7th and 8th grade math courses here at MIMS, hopefully beginning a routine of excellence that can last for the next few years.

There will be homework given every Monday and it will be collected every Friday.  Each class day begins with a warm-up and every Friday we will have a quiz.  To make sure your student has success with this course, please encourage them to complete their warm-ups, homeworks, and Classworks.
