My name is Tyler Engler and I am the 5th grade Virtual Learning teacher.  I was born and raised in Wayzata, Minnesota and graduated from Wayzata High School.  After High School I went to Kansas University and graduated with a mathematics degree as well as a teaching license.  I am the son of the 5th grade science teacher, Mr. Jimmy Engler.  This is my 3rd year at MIMS. My hobbies are playing sports and watching the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, and Jayhawks.

Virtual Learning is a course created to give students extra support in Math and Language Arts.  Often times 1 hour a day isn't enough time to master some of the more difficult Math and Language Arts concepts, so Virtual Learning will give students more time to ask questions and practice their skills.  We will retake tests, make up late assignments, and prepare for state testing.  Virtual Learning is a course only offered to 5th grade students, so I encourage the students to take advantage and use class time to help them understand their Math and Language Arts standards by asking questions and working everyday to get homework done and study for future tests.
